Ireland get off to the perfect start as they beat Scotland in Rugby World Cup opener

Ireland have gotten their 2019 Rugby World Cup campaign off to the perfect start as they beat Scotland 27-3 in their opening game of the competition.

In a crunch pool A opener Ireland came out on top and sealed an important win that could potentially prove pivotal in terms of qualifying for the quarter finals.

Ireland who will look to go deep into the competition will look to secure top spot in pool A after they grabbed an impressive bonus point victory over a lacklustre Scotland.

Joe Schmidt’s men who will have a tricky game against Japan to come, had all but wrapped up the match within 56 minutes as four clinical tries James Ryan, Rory Best, Tadhg Furlong and Andrew Conway showcased Ireland’s dominance.

Ireland now go on to face Japan next Saturday in a clash that could potentially decide the winners of pool A.
