Irish bar causes controversy by refusing to serve customers wearing the poppy

An Irish bar in England has caused controversy after its staff refused to serve customers wearing poppies. Bar 32 in Luton told customers to leave if they would not remove their poppies. Hundreds of customers have since vowed to boycott the pub.

A a status by the bar on Facebook read as follows:

Bar-Message

One man who was told to leave the venue has decided to never return to the pub. “It was disgusting behaviour from the owner, to be told to remove my poppy or leave, I happily walked out and I’ll never be going back into that dump.” He said.

The pub’s Facebook page has since been shut down. Bar 32 has yet to respond to the controversy.
