Commuters using DART services have been warned that major delays are taking place this afternoon, after a vehicle crashed against the barriers at a level crossing earlier today.
The incident occurred near Sydney Parade station in Dublin 4 at around 10am this morning.
It is understood a car towing a trailer sped through the crossing as the barriers were coming down, snagging into one of them and ripping it out of its moorings.
Delays of up to 30 minutes are expected for a time.
