Locals seem to be opposed to a MMA fight at the famous stadium.

People living around the iconic sports stadium have been vocal in the past about who should perform there.

Locals strongly opposed the previously planned Garth Brooks concerts. Five concerts were cancelled.

However  Conor McGregor stated that he would love to fight on Irish soil given the chance.

“If they offer me Croke Park, or if they offer me the football (Aviva) stadium, you’re damn right I’m gonna take it”

The chair of the the local resident’s association said “Personally speaking, I  think the fights are very brutal and violent. I’d be surprised if the GAA  would endorse that sport”

Pat Gates went on to talk about risks to public order and a negative impact on residents, similar to the cancelled Garth Brooks concerts.
