A man who was arrested for kidnapping a child in Australia has confessed to the abduction.
According to RTE, Terence Darrell Kelly pleaded guilty to the abduction of 4-year-old Cleo Smith who was taken from her family’s tent in a campsite in remote Australia.
The case sparked a national search and captured the heart of the nation. Cleo was found 18 days after she went missing when police broke into a locked house close to where she disappeared. A video of Cleo’s rescue was released, showing emotional policemen and women who said later that it was fantastic to have a happy ending to their search.
Kelly, who appeared via video link from prison, answered “guilty” when he was charged.
