A tragic accident took the life of a mother-of-five when she fell out of a party bus in LA and was hit by a passing car.
According to the Metro, 29-year-old Heather Garcia was celebrating her upcoming 30th birthday on a party bus with family and friends when the tragedy happened.
It is thought that she was dancing on the party bus at around 3am when she tripped and fell against the bus door, landing on the road where she was run over by a passing car. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ms. Garcia’s family and friends have said they are shocked and distraught by the accident, with her US Arm veteran husband Rafael speaking about how he’d seen “some crazy, horrific things in Iraq, and then to see it happen to your family…”
Even though the family have decided not to pursue legal action against anyone, they are still confused as to how the accident happened as they feel the door of the bus should not have opened and Ms. Garcia should have been safe on board.
A GoFundMe account was set up to pay the costs surrounding the burial and it has raised over $68,000 so far.
