Migrant accused of indecently exposing himself outside primary school in Dublin gets denied bail

A 39-yr-old male was observed by a student “hanging around” outside a primary school in Dublin, where he was caught indecently exposing himself, according to court documents, reports Breaking News.

On September 13, 2023, in the afternoon, Raymond Ariwi—whose most recent address was at Talbot Street in Dublin 1—was accused in relation to the purported event.

Having been refused bail by the District Court, he filed a new application with the High Court in Cloverhill, reports Breaking News.

He was nonetheless met with opposition. The court was informed by Garda Sergeant Ray Murphy that there was a claim made against gardaí that a man was “exposing himself outside the school”.

According to testimony given in court, a student saw him and informed their parents, who notified the school.

As stated by the sergeant, the defendant conversed with the facilities manager of the cathedral, who observed that “his fly was unzipped and asked him to leave”, reports Breaking News.

The court was informed that gardaí had confirmed his lodging at a hostel on Talbot Street and requested that he go to Store Street station.

But he missed two appointments, and the gardaí repeatedly searched the home without being able to find him.

But in April, he was located and taken into custody. In addition, he was charged with illegal trespassing following an unrelated incident on a different day, reports Breaking News.
