Hollywood has never hidden its pro-liberal and anti-conservative agenda, but its latest film called āThe Huntā may have gone a little too far.
The film which was originally titled “Red State vs. Blue Stateā, referencing the USā political divide between Republicans and Democrats, and is marketed as an ultra-violent satire in which wealthy, liberal elites kidnap working-class, white Americans and hunt and kill them for sport.
The movie trailer refers to those being hunted as āMAGA typesā and features the wealthy elites joking about killing some ādeplorablesā ā the term used by failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to describe supporters of President Donald Trump.
The movie is produced by Universal and scheduled for release in September but many movie cinemas across the US have said they will not screen the film following a number of mass shootings across the country and an increase in political tensions.
Following the shootings in Dayton, Ohio and El Paso, Texas many pundits and celebrities stoked tensions by blaming President Trump for the shootings with one CNN contributor, Reza Aslan even calling for Trump supporters to be āeradicatedā.
However, with many calling for stricter gun control it is unlikely this kind of rhetoric and now this hyper violent film depicting the slaughter of Trump supporters by wealthy leftists elites is unlikely to help simmer down tensions in the United States.
