We all know how difficult it is to get out of our warm bed in the morning and we all at some point have wished to bring the always comfortable duvet with us whilst we are travelling to work, well you could soon be able to do so because one of the county’s biggest hotel chains Jury’s Inn has come up with a new invention that will help you catch a few extra Z’s when out and about.

The revolutionary new invention which will surely capture the attention of bed heads across the country combines a suit and a duvet to create one item of clothing called the Suvet. The new snuggly suit was produced by the hotel group along with the help of costume-designer Wendy Benstead to mark the start of Irish and British summertime when the clocks go forward this coming Sunday March 27th.

The Suvet designed to help those who struggle to get up in the mornings, is made from the same material found in the hotel group’s rather comfortable feather and down duvets. Manufactures say it is 100% cotton with a tog rating of 10.5 (not too heavy) and houses a snood-like collar that acts as a pillow when the wearer needs it.

The new invention has gotten many people excited and none other than Suzanne Cannon, Head of Marketing at Jurys Inn who said: ‘At Jurys Inn, we pride ourselves on giving guests a great night sleep using dream-inducing bedding and we wanted to give consumers the opportunity to take the comfort of our beds literally anywhere they go! ‘The Suvet is the ultimate in bedroom couture – ideal for bus and rail commuters, office workers and those who find parting with their bed too much to handle.

We wouldn’t recommend wearing the Suvet while driving as the temptation to nap might be too much!’ Ms Cannon added: ‘If there is enough interest in this prototype we will definitely consider putting a limited edition run into production…’

Who’s with us in hoping that this catches on!
