O’Gorman says he’s eager to see more arrests amid investigations into arson attacks

The minister for children has expressed his “eagerness” to see more individuals taken into custody in connection with building arson attacks, stating that the gardaí are taking the inquiries seriously, reports Breaking News.

According to Roderic O’Gorman, it is “extremely important” that anyone who assaults structures thought to be used as shelter for asylum seekers face the full weight of the law, reports Breaking News.

The fact that no one has suffered serious injuries in the attacks, in his words, is “nothing short of a miracle.”

The government and the Gardaí have been battling a slew of events at locations that are allegedly utilised by asylum seekers.

This week, several people were taken into custody by the Gardaí in connection with the New Year’s Eve fire attack at a closed bar in Ringsend, reports Breaking News.
