Many social media commentators are saying that these teenage thugs’ parents should be held accountable for their actions and face criminal convictions if they’re caught.

Gardai in Dublin are investigating a new trend that’s seeing gangs of teenage thugs roaming the streets hoping to find young teenage boys on their own to beat them up and post the beating on social media.

Snapchat and TikTok are the two apps that are predominantly seeing the beatings being posted but other social media platforms have also been used to post the disgraceful anti-social behaviour.

It’s understood that one young boy was actually placed in an induced coma after the beating he sustained in the capital last month at the hands of these thugs.

Other beatings have been seen in the Cabra area of the city with the thugs said to be armed with batons and knives and using the Luas to get away from the crime scene.

Gardai say youngsters should try not to be out on their own in isolated areas and that they’re going to crack down on these gang groups that are roaming the city for trouble.
