Authorities have begun investigations into the deaths of a man and a woman in their 80s.
The couple were found dead inside their residence in Churchtown, Dublin 14, yesterday evening. It is understood they had not been seen for several days.
The bodies have been taken to Tallaght hospital for a postmortem examination.
The deaths are not being treated as suspicious. There were initial reports of a gas leak, but that has now been ruled out.
