Revolut putting it up to the banks as they offer instant access savings for Irish customers with rates up to 3.49%

With the introduction of new immediate access savings accounts, Revolut has announced its further entry into the Irish market. Customers can now take advantage of rates as high as 3.49% on these accounts, reports Breaking News.

Revolut members will be able to take advantage of this new feature, which will allow them to earn interest on deposits at rates that vary according on their subscription plan, from 2.9% to 3.49%.

“The Irish banking landscape is characterised by some of the lowest deposit rates in Europe, tricky or confusing limits, inaccessibility, and a real lack of competition,” Revolut Europe chief executive Joe Heneghan said, reports Breaking News.

“Today, Revolut is stepping in with a solution that makes saving money much better and much simpler for the people of Ireland,” he said, reports Breaking News.

Revolut, a company that says it has 2.7 million subscribers in Ireland, announced that its new feature will let users “adding or withdrawing at any time” and provide them on-demand access to their savings while earning competitive return.

Albert Codorniu, Revolut’s general manager of savings, stated: “This is an important step in our goal to establish Revolut as the best option for regular banking,” reports Breaking News.
