Actor Sam Lloyd has been diagnosed with cancer just weeks after the birth of his first child.
Lloyd who is best known for playing Ted Buckland in the hit US TV sitcom Scrubs, was diagnosed after he was complaining of severe headaches and weight loss.
According to reports in the US, Lloyd revealed that the cancer in his brain had spread from his lungs and is also in his liver, spine and jaw.
The actor is reportedly receiving treatment and is in good spirits despite his diagnosis and according to a GoFundMe page set up to raise money for his treatment, Lloyd was cheering on the New England Patriots from his hospital bed on Sunday during the Super Bowl.
Meanwhile the show’s creator Bill Lawrence has called on the public to support Lloyd as a GoFundMe page was set up the show’s former executive producer and Lloyd’s good friend Tim Hobert.
It is believed that Lloyd had originally attributed his symptoms to the lack of sleep and the stress of being a new parent.
