Ryan Greenan father of two, went to his GP in September after he was struggling to eat and drink.
The 35-yr-old man was told by his doctor that his issues were more than likely caused by reflux and that anxiety was probably likely as to why he had difficulty eating and drinking.
But the young man’s symptoms didn’t go away and they caused him to lose drastic weight and eventually he collapsed.
Tragically, when he was rushed to hospital he was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer and told that it had already spread to his lungs and his liver.
According to the Metro, his family took the diagnosis at face value and other are heartbroken over the mistake. They have advised anyone experiencing similar symptoms to seek further medical advice immediately.
The young man’s weight dropped from 12 stone to 10 in just two weeks before his death.
