The darkness of the human heart knows no boundaries.
It has emerged today that a gang of heartless thugs rode a young horse to exhaustion and then beat it to death.
The shocking incident is believed to have happened on Friday morning, at McAuley Park in the Raheny/Artane area of the capital.
It is understood that a member of the public found the horse dead and contacted the authorities.
Witnesses say that a bunch of kids kept riding the young horse until the animal could walk no more, then they set upon it and kicked him to death. It is believed that a bet was going around as to who would make the horse go down first.
When the animal did fall, they kicked its teeth in.
