Up to 5,000 homes still without power as part of an ESB station exploded in Dublin

Dublin’s Fire Brigades are fighting two huge fires at an ESB building in Inchicore. South West Dublin.

At 7:30pm an enormous explosion was heard by residents as emergency services rushed to the scene. Fire Brigades are said to fighting two major fires in an effort to get them under control.

Emergency services have a 500 metre radius set up from the ESB station in an effort to keep the public safe.

Up to 14,000 homes are without power as a result of the explosion. No one was injured in the blaze.
