Sinn Fein politician forced to hold advice clinic in caravan after priest denies church hall use because of his support for abortion

A Sinn Fein MLA in Tyrone was forced to hold an advice clinic in a caravan after a Parish Priest refused him permission to use a church hall due his support for legalising abortion.

Fr John Connolly told the Belfast Telegraph that he withdrew his permission for Sinn Fein representative Colm Gildernew to make use of the church hall as a constituency advice clinic due his support for abortion legalisation.

Fr Connolly also went on to say that it is unlikely that he will permit Sinn Fein to use the venue in the future so as not to offend his parishioners. Assumedly as they adhere to Catholic Church teachings regarding the value placed on the life of the unborn.

MLA Colm Gildernew instead was forced to hold his advice clinic in a Caravan on the outskirts of Moy.

In statement Tyrone Pro-Life Network hailed their efforts impede Sinn Fein and stop them using the church hall as a “total success”.
