Peruvian authorities have arrested six tourists after human feces were found at the sacred Machu Picchu citadel.
Four men and two women were allegedly seen entering an area known as the Temple of the Sun. Authorities say that the group damaged a wall there, and that human feces were later discovered inside the area.
The tourists, three Argentines, a Brazilian, a Chilean and a French, aged between 20 and 32, are currently being held on suspicion of ‘attacking’ the heritage site.
