A Status Yellow weather warning is now in place for three counties, as miserable weather conditions move in.
The counties affected are Donegal, north Leitrim, and Sligo. The warning will remain in effect until midnight.
According to Met Eireann, heavy rain across many areas of these counties might lead to localized flooding.
The outlook for the coming days is for changeable weather for the earlier part, with better weather likely for later in the week.
