Strange phenomena at The Stanley Hotel: Ghostly apparition photobombs tourist’s picture

It is not the first time that reports of unusual activity emanate from The Stanley Hotel, the quaint Colorado establishment that served as an inspirational source for Stephen King’ book The Shining. The hotel would later be the main setting for the 1997 TV series inspired by the eponymous movie.

The Stanley Hotel has featured in the SyFy channel series Ghost Hunters, and it has a long and rich association with the paranormal.

And such arcane pedigree continues, as hotel guest Henry Yau can prove. He was taking pictures inside the hotel, and when he later reviewed them, he realized that what he thought was an empty grand staircase now had one very peculiar denizen.

The hotel, which opened in 1909, has had its fair share of paranormal shenanigans, and it’s reportedly one of America’s most active sites with the shadows from beyond.
