
A new artificial intelligence tool aimed at supporting cancer patients is currently being tested at a hospital in Dublin.
The AI-driven conversational system enables cancer patients to complete toxicity assessments and report symptoms remotely using their mobile phones, reports Breaking News.
According to the Irish Independent, the platform is intended to evaluate a patient’s readiness for treatment, helping to prevent them from having to travel long distances for chemotherapy only to be sent home.
The technology was developed by Irish firm eAltra and is being trialled at St James’s Hospital, reports Breaking News.
