If the Coalition thought that public anger over Irish Water and water charges had dissipated after their petty concessions, they better think again.
Thousands took to the streets in Dublin yesterday and elsewhere to let the Government know where we stand.
At least three separate marches converged on O’Connell Street in Dublin, causing significant disruption to public transport and traffic.
There were some minor scuffles and one person was arrested, but the protests passed peacefully.
Plenty of similar marches took place nationwide, with further mass demonstrations planned for the coming weeks and months.
We will not pay, that’s our message to the Government.
