In what is being described as an absolutely tragic incident, a man in his 40s died last night from perishing from the cold. The incident happened when the man was sleeping on a doorway in Molesworth St, literally on the gates of the Dail.
The arrow in the image depicts precisely where the man was found. On the right side of the image, you can see the entrance to the Dail.
What makes this image even more tragic is the fact that heating was more than likely being blasted out in the Dail right throughout the night with only security personnel working at the time.
The governments resources need to be better managed so that one of our own can’t die from severe weather. This sad story is deplorable.
