
A man in his 60s has died following a car crash in Co Roscommon on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred at Carrigans Park, Donamon, in Co Roscommon, reports RTE.
The man, who was the driver of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was the sole occupant of the car, reports RTE.
His body was taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Galway, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course, and the coroner has been notified.
The road was closed on Sunday for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place, reports RTE.
Gardaà are appealing to road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and who were travelling in the area of Carrigans Park, Donamon, between 5am and 9am on Sunday to make it available to investigators.
