Police in Paris have launched an investigation after the body of a 14 year old girl was found in the Seine river.
According to BBC News, the teenager was found at approximately 8:30pm local time on Monday evening.
It is reported that the two teenagers were arrested after one of the teenagers mother’s called police.
Reports in French media say that the teenagers were arrested in the Argenteuil suburb of the city.
Police investigating the incident an initial examination has shown that the young girl had marks of blows to her face and head.
They added that the results of post mortem examination will establish the cause of her death.
