Over 2,000 civilians have reportedly lost their lives since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, according to local sources, though Russian troops casualties are also mounting, with some quoting almost 6,000 troops killed.
The Russian advance is being checked in most fronts, though the invading troops reportedly hold at least parts of the towns of Kherson and Mariupol.
All major cities remain under Ukrainian control for now.
