A woman in China was seen driving a small toy car through a busy intersection before being pulled over by police. The driver, decked out in pink neon lights in the toy vehicle, made a quick turn on the Quanzhou City expressway in an effort to avoid police.
However, according to local media, the woman claimed she was trying to save time by moving the toy car for work reasons. The woman, named Ms. Li, is said to have worked at a toy store that rented out toy cars to children at a local park and that she was merely delivering it.
She said her boss told her to bring the pink replica car from the store to the park. Instead of walking, she decided to drive the car to the park, but her trip was cut short when traffic officers approached her and questioned her.
CCTV footage released by local police shows the small car with bright pink lights moving along the busy road with other vehicles before turning right at the intersection. According to a police social media post, officers berated Ms. Li for her negligence and seized the toy vehicle but no charges will be issued. Watch the footage below.
