Gardaí in Co Kerry have confirmed that a woman has been killed following a road traffic collision.
It is understood the woman was killed and four others have been injured following the collision which occurred on the main Killarney to Tralee Road near Farranfore at approximately 2pm this afternoon.
Gardaí say one of the other passengers in the same car a woman aged in her 70s remains in critical condition.
It is understood that another passenger and two other people from the second car were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
