The worst of the recent cold snap appears to be over, as weather is set to improve over the next couple of days.
The national forecaster has said that temperatures will begin to rise today, Sunday, as the day goes on. This afternoon and evening will be rather damp in most places, however, with spells of rain developing nationwide.
Monday will begin cloudy and dull, but the weather will become brighter throughout the day, with afternoon temperatures reaching 9-10C in places.
Temperatures will dip again somewhat on Tuesday, and colder weather is likely to return by Wednesday.
