Authorities in the US have arrested a man in connection with in connection with mail bombs which were sent to opponents of President Trump.
In announcement made this afternoon the US Justice Department confirmed that Cesar Altieri Sayoc, Jr., 56, of Florida, has been arrested and taken into custody.
The arrest comes after at least 12 pipe bombs were sent to Democrats, the media and known opponents of President Trump.
Authorities in the US say the arrest was made after they focused their attention on the state of Florida.
It is believed that the majority of the parcel bombs were sent through a mail centre which was located in Miami.
A white van which is said to have a number of decals was seized during the investigation.
Mr Sayoc who has an address in Florida, is known to have a criminal history and has ties to New York.
