Motorists are being urged to be careful this morning as foggy conditions are expected in many places this morning.
The warning comes after cold temperatures overnight. According to Met Eireann foggy conditions will arise after temperatures ranged between -2 and 2C overnight.
Although the fog is expected to lift later in the morning, the national forecaster say it will remain relatively cold during the day on Thursday and freezing temperatures are expected later tonight.
Meanwhile Friday is expected to see more unsettled conditions as heavy rain and strong winds will sweep across the country.
