A body that was discovered in quarry in Co Clare yesterday morning has been formally identified as that of missing Athlone man Adrian Folan.
41 year old Adrian, had been missing from Athlone since July 3rd. Mr Folan’s body has since been removed from the scene to Limerick Regional Hospital, where a post mortem had taken place yesterday evening, the results of the post mortem are as of yet unknown.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who may have seen “anything unusual of suspicious” near the quarry at Kilconnel, Liscannor, at and time since July 3rd.
