According to reports in the Syrian capital of Damascus, at least six loud explosions have been heard in the past hour.
According to Reuters, a number of chemical factory facilities have been struck by missiles from US, British and French military personnel.
The paper also reports that the Barzah district of Damascus which includes a scientific research centre has been hit with a number of misses.
It is also reported that the Syrian army have moved to incept missiles launched by allied forces.
