The weather outlook for the coming weekend is looking more positive but it will still be mainly cold in most parts it has been revealed.
According to Met Éireann the country will experience a drier weekend with little rainfall and snow showers expected.
However temperatures across the country will remain relatively low with some ground frost expected overnight.
Met Eireann say there will be long sunny spells throughout the weekend with South Leinster and Munster experiencing the best of the weather with temperatures reaching no higher than 8c.
It will be colder further North and in the west with temperatures reaching between 4 to 6c, although it will be mainly dry throughout.
The national forecaster are also urging motorists to be extra careful whilst driving in the morning as it is likely there will be some ground frost in many regions with temperatures not expected to be any higher than 0c overnight.
