The victim, a man in his seventies, died after being struck by a car on the Mullydoo Road in Greencastle, County Tyrone.
The tragic incident happened near the Greencastle Road junction, just before 3pm this afternoon.
The road is currently closed for a technical examination.
The PSNI are appealing for witnesses to the collision.
