Gardaí in Co Clare have launched an investigation after footage showing a kitten being subjected to relentless physical abuse appeared online.
The disturbing footage which showed the terrified kitten being thrown a kitchen at house in Cooraclare, was uploaded to the popular networking app Snapchat.
In the horrific video which was obtained by My Lovely Horse Rescue, two men can be seen kicking and throwing the terrified kitten across the kitchen as it’s owners slept upstairs.
The poor kitten was also placed on a frying pan as the the two men could be heard laughing in the background.
According to My Lovely Horse Rescue, the distressed kitten was taken to a nearby veterinary clinic where it recieved treatment and was kept under observation by staff.
Meanwhile Gardaí say they have questioned two men in connection with the incident and an investigation is currently ongoing.
