Just a bit longer: Bad news for phone lovers in Ireland as Nokia confirms the long awaited return of the infamous 3310 phone has been put on hold

There was bad news for technology enthusiasts this week as the ling awaited return of the infamous Nokia 3310 phone was not given an official Irish release date.

The phone which many have dubbed king of the late 90s/ early 00s is set to make its long awaited return this summer after the tech giant confirmed plans to reintroduce a rebooted version of the iconic classic.

However for many die hard fans living on Irish shores the long awaited return will be postponed for just a bit longer after the company who made a return to the phones market this year refused to confirm when it will go on sale here.

The rebooted version of the phone which almost every man, woman and teenager owned back in day will be officially launched later this month as it will go on sale in the UK and Germany on May 24th and 26th respectively before its initial release in the Netherlands and Belgium next month.

Even though Nokia say they are unsure when the €49 phone will go on sale here, they have reassured fans that it will arrive in Irish shops before the end of the summer and have reminded them to check their website for any further updates.

The latest phone which returns after a 15 year hiatus became a viral hit amongst fans across the globe after Nokia confirmed it will house all its original features along with some new adjustments which includes a mega battery that can last up to two days without needing a recharge.
