Like snow? A Big Freeze may stay until next May, according to leading forecaster

If you are dreaming of a White Christmas, all your wishes may come true as a leading weather forecaster has now predicted that Ireland will indeed have snow over the festive season this year.

However, be careful what you wish for, as the snow and the cold may linger well into next year.

Ken Ring, a long-range weather consultant and presenter on Channel Seven and Channel Nine in Australia, has issued predictions that the run up to the yuletide period will be fairly mild in Ireland, but also said that snow should begin falling in and around Christmas Day, and that the last snowfall may occur in May 2016.

Mr. King said “The coming winter should be fairly mild, with a storm in the first week of January and snow mostly in January and March. Winter is close to being typical for Ireland, conditions will not be too severe, but with the usual occasional rain and snow.”

While this may be just another random prediction thrown our way, we all secretly wish for a White Christmas.
