Some three hundred volunteers gave up part of their Christmas Day to serve meals to the disadvantaged and the homeless at the RDS in Dublin today.
The event, organized by the Knights of St. Columbanus charity organization, has been a staple of Christmas since 1924.
More than 400 meals were served, and over 3,000 takeaway meals were prepared to be distributed across 30 different charitable organizations.
No Government representative got up early to attend, or were present during the event.
