The President of the United States, Donald Trump has pledged $1 million of his own money to help those affected by the terrible flooding in Texas as a result of Storm Harvey.
This is the first natural disaster to face the Trump Administration since their victory last November.
The President and the First Lady, Melania, passed out food, shook hands, hugged, played with and kissed children at Houston’s NRG Centre, a 65,000sqm facility that’s now a make-shift shelter.
Mr Trump has asked Congress for an initial $7.85bn for hurricane recovery efforts but has said that he will do all that it takes to help the State recover and rebuild.
