There are some severe weather events forecast for the day, as warm and sunny conditions lead into stormy and rainy misery.
Thunderstorms are likely to break out as the afternoon goes on, moving eastwards as the day progresses. Localised flooding is likely in low-lying areas.
Temperatures will remain high however, with the thermometer reaching 20C in places.
A Yellow Weather Warning will remain in place until 9pm this evening.
Unsettled conditions will be predominant over the next few days, as a low pressure front takes hold.
