There was some tragic news anounced over the weekend as Gardai confirmed that a man died following a drowning incident in Co Kerry.
It is understood the man who was a male kayaker died after he got into difficulties in Cromane on the Iveagh Peninsula on Friday.
Although Gardai confirmed that a number of attempts were made to resuscitate the man, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
