The tragic trend of road tragedies continues this evening, after the death of a man in his 30s in Cork.
It is understood the man was struck by a lorry on the Bridge Street area of Cork city centre, near the bottom of St Patrick’s Hill, about 11am this morning.
The area was closed for a time to facilitate a forensic examination, but has since reopened.
Another road fatality occurred in Limerick last night, when a 40-year-old man sadly lost his life after being hit by a car.
