Irish and British summertime officially ends this evening as the clocks go back by one hour.
The changing of the clocks officially marks the start of wintertime and will end on Sunday 28th of March 2021.
Although calls have been made to scrap the system which has been labelled as outdated, it is understood that the Government have decided to stick with the annual tradition.
The traditional changing of the clocks will once again come into question next year as the EU has officially voted to end the practice.
However the decision could prove a problem for Ireland as Britain previously stated that they will continue the practice.
The decision by the British Government could leave two different time zones on the island of Ireland.
