The Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald has said that the Government is now living on borrowed time and she cannot wait for a General Election.
Speaking during the Dublin Bay South by-election count at the RDS, McDonald said the result now shows that its clear that the Government is living on borrowed time and they have been found out.
McDonald went on to say that the result shows that the public will no longer tolerate the failings of Government Inn certain areas and none more so than housing.
She added that its clear the public want change and in particular a change in Government.
McDonald’s comments come as Labour’s Ivana Bacik is set to the constituency with the majority of the vote.
