A man died in a house fire in Co Tipperary this morning. Just before noon, help was called to the scene near the town of Ballingarry.
Firefighters were extinguishing a fire discovered in a detached bungalow, but a man’s body was found at the scene.
It is understood that he was in his 40s and alone in the house.
The GardaĆ have cordoned off the area and a forensic investigation is being carried out by members of the Garda technical office and experts from the fire brigade to determine the cause of the fire.
An autopsy is being performed on the man’s body.
