Passengers at Dublin Airport have been left without their bags for more than a week as ground staff struggle to cope with the major disaster from massive queues and delays seen over recent weeks.
Passengers arriving on incoming flights to Dublin last week were greeted at the airport terminal by baggage handlers, with suitcases stacked and stacked around baggage halls and around conveyor belts.
Much of the baggage that lines up in the baggage halls must be diverted to meet the owners. Some of the bags stored in the terminals were from flights more than seven days old in the past.
Other bags flew through Dublin from foreign airports en route to travelers elsewhere.
