There was a landmark decision made this evening as councilors at Wicklow county council voted in favour if a ruling that will see fast-food restaurants being banned from being built within a 400 metre radius of schools.
The move which was dubbed the ‘no-fry zone’ ban, will come into effect after a four year argument.
It us understood motion was passed 25 votes to 3. It now means no fast food restaurants can be built if their is a public school in a 400 metre radius.
