According to latest reports storm Ophelia is barreling its way on course to hit Ireland with it a mere few hundred miles from the south coast.
Latest reports say the hard hitting storm the worst in 50 years, has already entered the Celtic Sea and it is scheduled to reach the Cork and Kerry coastline by 6am.
Met Eireann say the country will feel the full force of the storm by 11am with winds expected to reach a massive 130kmph.
It is understood the storm is now a mere couple of hours away from entering Irish waters with high winds expected to batter the south coast by sunrise.
